How to find remainder of certain numbers easily and quickly!

| 3 | Add up all the digits for the dividend, if you get more than a 1 digit number, then add the numbers again and then divide by 3. Keep repeating until you get a number less than 3. EX. 156749/3, 1+5+6+7+4+9 = 32, 3+2 = 5, 5/3 = 1 with 2 as the remainder, So 2 is the remainder |
| 4 | Take the last 2 digits of the dividend and divide that by 4. The remainder is the answer. EX. 1325/4 25/4 = 6 with 1 as remainder, So 1 is the remainder |
| 5 | Take the last digit of the dividend. If it is a 0 or 5 then there is no remainder, any other number less than 5 is the remainder. Any number greater than 5, just subtract the 5 from the number. Then you get your remainder. EX. 139/5, 9-5 = 4, 4 is your remainder. |
